1/2 lb John Morrell Maple Bacon, torn into ½ inch pieces
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 stick butter
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/8 c. egg substitute
1/2 tbsp. heavy cream

Cook bacon as directed. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda in medium bowl. Add in small clumps of butter until all has been used. Stir in bacon and buttermilk. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Gently press dough to 1-inch thickness on a floured surface. Form biscuits using a 2-inch round cookie cutter. Place on lined baking sheet, spaced at least 2 inches apart. Freeze until biscuits are chilled, about 10 min. In a separate bowl, whisk egg and cream. Brush onto the chilled biscuits. Bake 20-25 min. or until lightly browned. Serve while warm.
