3 packages of John Morrell Skinless Smoked Sausage
3 large sweet onions
2 green peppers
1 1/2 red peppers
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 large jar of traditional chili sauce
In a large iron skillet, cook your sausage. While cooking sausage, slice your peppers and onions, set aside. When sausage is finished, remove from skillet and be sure to save the grease. Place sausage and sauce in an electric roaster* at 250-275°F degrees. Add the sliced peppers and onions to the skillet and cook in the sausage grease, add approximately 1/2 tsp. of garlic powder and 1/2 tsp. of crushed red pepper to the skillet and the roaster and mix thoroughly. Liberally sprinkle paprika over peppers and onions, mix. This will give the veggies a nice color as they cook down. Add veggies and grease mixture to roaster and mix with sausage and sauce.
Serve out of the roaster onto rolls and enjoy!!
